The Neuroscience Center

TriStar Skyline is recognized nationally for its neuroscience services. TriStar Skyline is a top performer in the treatment of neurological conditions. Additionally, TriStar Skyline was the first hospital in Tennessee to earn “Primary Stroke Care Center” Certification from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

The mission of The Neuroscience Center is to provide compassionate, quality treatment for patients, and to providesupport and education for their families. This gives new hope to patients struggling with health conditions that affect the brain, spine and nervous system, such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumors, Alzheimer’s disease and epilepsy. Additionally, TriStar Skyline was the first hospital in Tennessee to earn “Primary Stroke Center” certification from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Outpatient Diagnostic Center

Offering some of the most sophisticated diagnostic equipment in Tennessee, the Outpatient Diagnostic Center at TriStar Skyline was designed with the comfort and convenience of patients as its top priority. The Center provides patients with flexible scheduling, easy access, free parking, and prompt courteous service by experienced employees and physicians. And, our same-day report turn-around means that physicians receive results promptly.

TriStar Sarah Cannon Cancer Center

TriStar Skyline is an affiliate of The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, the largest community-based, privately funded, clinical trials program in the country.

Through the work of The TriStar Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, and now the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, more patients are benefiting from life saving research. Long a leader in providing cancer care for residents of northern middle Tennessee, TriStar Skyline provides a comprehensive range of services for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. With the 2004 addition of IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) services, TriStar Skyline delivers higher radiation doses more directly to cancer cells while sparing more of the surrounding healthy tissues.

The TriStar Sarah Cannon Cancer Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. The ACoS awards certification to programs after a voluntary inspection of hospital clinical practices, including diagnosis and treatment, as well as educational offerings for community residents and healthcare professionals.

Cardiology, Stroke, and Vascular Services

Diseases of the vascular system, from heart disease to stroke, impact more people in the Southeastern U.S. than any other disease. From our accredited Chest Pain Center to our five star-rated treatment of stroke, patients have access to the latest state-of-the art medical and surgery procedures at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. The recent addition of an Electrophysiology (EP) Laboratory allows physicians to diagnose and treat cardiac rhythm abnormalities.

Emergency Center

With the experience of treating over 40,000 emergency patients each year, TriStar Skyline’s Emergency department is among the region’s busiest. The staff provides patient-focused family-centered care in all areas of the department whether it’s trauma care, the chest pain center or the fast track unit.

Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Services

From hip replacement surgery to pain-alleviating spinal procedures, from arthoscopic knee repair to shoulder reconstruction, TriStar Skyline offers a complete range of orthopedic procedures in some of our state’s most advanced Surgical Suites. Additionally, key surgeons are involved in pioneering research that enables patients to have access to the most advanced treatments sooner than most. Additionally, a 41-bed inpatient rehabilitation center provides access to state-of-the-art therapy.
