TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a provisional status Level II Trauma Center, which means the State of Tennessee determined that standards for providing comprehensive trauma care have been met. The state assessed features of the trauma program, including commitment, readiness, resources, policies, patient care, and performance improvement processes.
With traumatic injury, saving time is crucial.TriStar Skyline's North Nashville location off Interstates 65 and 24 is perfectly located for regional access to emergency treatment. The facility is equipped with two helipads, one of which is located directly outside the emergency department to provide rapid access to treatment. Large trauma rooms are located just inside the Emergency Department ambulance entrance and the critical care unit, surgical suites, and imaging areas are located nearby on the same floor. An Inpatient Rehabilitation Center enables trauma patients to receive complete care from the moment of arrival to the facility through rehabilitation.
Experienced Trauma Team
The trauma program is staffed with a multidisciplinary team that includes a trauma medical director, board certified trauma surgeons, trauma program director, performance improvement coordinator, and specially trained nurses. Trauma surgeons are on site 24/7 and physician specialists, including neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons and oral maxillofacial surgeons, are always available. From motor vehicle accidents to falls, the TriStar Skyline Trauma Center is equipped to handle the most critical emergencies.
