TriStar Skyline Medical Center is proud to welcome internal medicine physician Rebecca McDonald-Thomas, MD, FACP.

Dr. McDonald-Thomas is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University, Lubbock, Texas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas, where she earned her medical degree and completed a residency in internal medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

"Dr. McDonald-Thomas brings more than 10 years of experience in internal medicine to benefit our patients and her fellow caregivers."

Dr. McDonald-Thomas is a member of the American College of Physicians and was named a fellow in 2015. Previously, she was a member of the Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine from 2009 to 2017. She was named as an Outstanding Clerkship Educator by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 2012 and 2014. During her residency, she was the recipient of a Research Day Award supported by the American Federation for Medical Research in 2008, and she was named Resident Physician of the Month in May 2007.

She is fluent in English and Spanish, and enjoys visiting and singing to nursing home residents.
